Dario Martinelli
Associate Professor of Musicology and Semiotics at the University of Helsinki. He has published more than fifty among scientific articles, monographs and edited compilations. He is co-editor in chief of the academic journal IF ¯ Journal of Italo-Finnish Studies, and scientific director of the Umweb publishing series. His primary focus, zoomusicology, has been tackled already in his first monograph How musical is a whale? ¯ Towards a theory of zoomusicology (2002), and in several other publications.
