Postdoctoral Fellow of the Research Foundation-Flanders (FWO) at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), and lecturer at the Centre for Plainchant, Drongen (Ghent). He received his PhD in musicology from the K.U.Leuven in 2008, with a dissertation entitled A Collegiate Church on the Divide. Chant and Liturgy at the Church of Our Lady in Tongeren (10th-15th centuries). His research interests include plainchant in the Low Countries, historiae (liturgical offices), chant reform and restoration, and the musical culture of the beguines.
